ELITE LEVEL SURF COACHING | ATHLETE: VALERIA PECONI

Valeria Peconi 17 year old dual nationality Italian/Mexican surfer living in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico.

Valeria started surfing at the age of 9 years old when her family moved to Puerto Escondido, Mexico.

In 2015 Valeria woke up one morning with a life threatening medical condition and was told by Doctors she would never surf again.

With her typical courage and positive energy the following year she won the Mexican Juniour Championship title and represented Team Mexico in the ISA World Juniour Championships Açores, Portugal.

May 2018 Valeria joined JWC for a surf training & coaching camp to Madagascar Surf Lodge with WQS athlete Leonor Fragoso.  You can see her happy smile as she features in the surf movie "Rano" & "A Day in the Life of Madagascar Surf Lodge" shot by Roger Sharp and promoted via Carve Surfing Magazine.

Valeria now represents Italy and plans to compete in the WQS European events 2018.
